Terms and Conditions
Fee payments
Fees are based on a term rate (5 or more lessons) or a casual rate (less than 5 lessons). Invoices are sent at the start of each term and must be paid directly to the account provided within 7 days of the invoice. A 5% discount is offered to families with more than one family member attending the centre or students learning more than one instrument*.
*Hour long, instrument/vocals lessons are already discounted.
Cancellations
There are no refunds for missed lessons due to a student’s illness, work expectations, family holidays etc. however, students may make up missed lessons in other time slots, provided there is space available.
You must book a make-up class with your teacher or by emailing [email protected] at least one week in advance*. If there are no available spaces for a makeup in these instances then there will be no credit issued and the lesson will be forfeited.
Due to rising demand for lesson times, a maximum of one (1) make-up lesson will be offered per term providing that the student has given adequate notice*. Any lessons missed, due to the Centre being closed or a teacher’s absence, will also be made-up or credited. If there is a cancellation time available within the normal teaching week, that will be offered to students as a make-up lesson time on a first-come, first-served basis.
There are no lessons provided on Public Holidays or during school holidays and you will not be charged for these days (unless agreed upon prior with the student).
*Make-up lessons and credits are not given with group classes.
Term Cancellations
Once booked, you will be considered a student on our schedule until we are notified of a change*. If you wish to cancel your music classes, please ensure that written cancellation advice arrives at f[email protected] a full 2 weeks prior to the start of the next term to avoid incurring a 50% charge of the next term’s fees. This policy is strictly adhered to as there is a waiting list and students have missed out in the past due to last minute or mid-term cancellations.
*Last minute term cancellations will incur a 50% term charge and lessons received (up to 5 lessons) will be charged at the casual rate for those lessons.
